Seven Years

Wed Mar 13, 2013, 3:41 AM

This past Monday was our seventh year anniversary of buying our house. It was also the birthdays of my Mother, brother-in-law and one of my favorite authors Douglas Adams. I have uploaded an entire gallery of our house photo's to my Coffeenoir Photography facebook page www.facebook.com/media/set/?se… if any one is interested.
I have tried in the last couple of weeks to take a few photo's. Feel like they have gone pretty well, am really wanting to read through my Idiots Guide and actually try to learn how to use my camera. I am not sure that I am getting the most out of it, but I want to. I have been playing with the idea of trying to get some photography work. Years ago I did a couple of weddings, but am not sure if I want to do that again. I was thinking more about portrait work. I did some tutorials when I was in college on lighting techniques, so somewhere back in my memory I must still have that knowledge.
Anyway on to this weeks features, please as always if you see something you like visit the artist and perhaps look through their gallery and maybe give them a :+fav:

I love this feature! It is so awesome. I love old abandoned buildings etc. I love the coffee shots as well, it feels homey (some gangster somewhere is rolling his eyes, as my "homey" and his are entirely different things)lol Great collections and selections. Love the shot of your library as well!

I never think of checking youtube, don't know why. I have been using this camera for about a year, and have found many ways to get what I feel are good shots, but there are some features that I just can't figure out.
Glad you like the feature and that you have found new people to watch!:)

That is the one nice thing about digital, trial and error is much cheaper these days than back when we hade to buy film and pay for processing.

I remember those! I had this weird little camera that just snapped onto the front of a 110 film cartridge, it was a lot of fun!

I keep meaning to read the owners guide to my camera as well (LOL) as I still don't know how to use most of the settings and cannot take decent night photos or photos from a moving vehicle etc. like I could with previous cameras.

Thanks for the feature (Sante Fe Doorway), noticed it as I was scrolling down to add a moment.

I was so happy to get my book and am not sure if I have even opened it since! I feel the same way, there are so many settings on the camera that it get's confusing.
You're very welcome btw!
