In the past few years birthdays have come to mean that I get to spend time with my family. Of course since Father's Day is usually the same week it is just that much more wonderful. Our tradition is that we spend the day in a book store have some coffee and maybe a snack. We will usually go out to dinner. This year we went to lunch at White Castle, I love their food but the rest of the family is not always quite as happy about it as I am. So that was a wonderful surprise. We then did Barnes and Noble, and coffee then had dinner at Applebee's. It was a good day.  I got a new pour=over coffee stand from Starbucks and some wonderful books about coffee and bats. It was a good few days.
I am working a tremendous amount, I had 52 hours overtime this past week and a half. I will have another 92 hours this next week and a half. Sadly it takes so long to rest after that many hours working nights. I was hoping that I would have our path and patio done by now, there are also many other little home improvement projects that I want to do. I will just have to plan ahead for vacation time.
How is everyone else's weather going? We are getting a fair amount of rain at night with muggy day's. But mild temp's for the most part.

I do hope that this finds everyone doing well. I have some more photo's to upload. Maybe in a couple of weeks that will happen. I do like that I am able to schedule photo's to be submitted. Does anyone else use this feature? I have been wanting to put up a new poll, but just have not been able to come up with a question.

I am also thinking about getting another journal skin made, does anyone do this on a commission basis?
Okay, so now on to this weeks (?)s Feature.

you'd be wrapped in the sweetest

how to engulf the ocean
with your lungs
and think of how to cup it

your broken prayers and

but still
so, so graceful)

it's growing old,

faltering in a desert,
and tones
still octaves

how could anyone break
you?
how could the sweetest,
little wildflower
be consumed
by the hungriest of wildfires?
your poor bones,
they must be so weary
of holding all that loveliness
look at you,
how gorgeous
how vulnerable)
you'll be happier

so red,
so dark)
livelier
(there's no more
blood.
just ash pumping
in that pillar heart)
stronger

Sounds like a wonderful Father's Day!  I understand how you must feeling with the long hours, as I am working second shift and generally do not get in until 2AM, plus OT.
It takes two days for me to recoup at times and start all over.  But, we can do it!  Screamote
