As man's best friend, dogs tend to have high expectations. This dog certainly doesn't fall short. My favorite part of this photograph is the fact that his eye color (in full view) is easily distinguishable without zooming in: something that can be very difficult when trying to take a good picture of an animal. Great job, alicjaphoto !

This is another one of those photos that I have trouble explaining why I chose it for runner-up status, but I think the picture can speak for itself. I love the effect that the snow has on the photograph, making it feel (to me) a bit surreal, and the environment supports the animal's physique very nicely. Awesome work, Svenimal !
